The regrets which worry the WT leaders the most, and the ones which are most prevalent amongst long time JWs -- are exactly those which Billy the Bethelite articulates. Regret over having wasted a lifetime chasing a delusion is the "900-pound gorilla" in the room that the WT tiptoes around but refuses to confront forthrightly.

Elder Calls To Invite Us To October Annual Meeting -- What's Up With That?

is it held in pittsburgh with tie-ins to local assembly halls?
i can't believe there would otherwise be room for little piss-ons like us.

My wife fielded a call from a local elder inviting us to attend the Annual Meeting this October... I declined, of course. What's up with that? Is it held in Pittsburgh with tie-ins to local Assembly Halls? I can't believe there would otherwise be room for little piss-ons like us. Of course, the evening turned sour once I told her "no way" would I attend.
Does any of you know what's going on with this?

i'm not sure if it's coming soon to theatres, independent film theatres, or just dvd.

PO refuses to give me a "shepherding" visit ... wtf ???
by Calebs Airplane inso 2 weeks ago i received an email from the po... he wants to give my wife and i a shepherding call very soon... but get this... he mentioned that they had already made shepherding calls to the entire congo and we were the only ones left... i don't know whether i'm i supposed to feel loved or despised (by that completely irrelevant comment).
he's probably doing this to impress the co who is probably visiting soon.... my response to his email was basically: no problem... please feel free to stop by anytime... however, no need to come with a second person.
i would prefer a 1 on 1 meeting (not 2 on 1).

Elders Call Off Meetings A Lot More Easily Than They Did Before For Inclement Weather

a month ago the co had the meeting cancelled because it was a bit tracherous, which i thought was a good call..... years`ago, if we cancelled a meeting it took until one hour before the presiding overseer would finally decide to cancel.. today's jws are wimps..
